Links to government departments and agencies relevant to child care services.
Contact details and information about organisations in each state and territory that can assist child care services, including links to Resource and Advisory Agencies who may be funded by the Government to provided support to services participating in the Child Care Quality Assurance (CCQA) process.
The Australian Government funds a range of agencies to assist services participating in the CCQA systems. These agencies provide a range of services including telephone information, training courses, bookshops and lending resources.
Indigenous Professional Support Units are funded by the Australian Government Department of Families, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaCSIA) to provide culturally appropriate advice and support to Indigenous run child care services identified by FaCSIA as eligible to receive professional support.
Each state and territory Government is responsible for legislation under which child care services are licensed. This is administered by the relevant licensing department in each state and territory.
Licensing provides a legal 'floor' below which no service is permitted to operate. Licensing includes factors which are most readily measured, such as space, range of equipment, number and ages of children, number of staff and the length of their training. Such factors contribute to quality.
NCAC Endorsed QA Trainers
Contact details for individuals who have been trained by NCAC and have met NCAC standards for endorsement as QA Trainers to deliver training on the processes associated with the 5 Steps of CCQA with a particular focus on Step 2: Self-study and Continuing Improvement and Step 3: Validation using the NCAC Endorsed QA Training Kit.

The links contained in this section are not an exhaustive list, but will be continually added to.
Attending conferences allows child care professionals to remain up to date with new trends in care and education. It is also a great opportunity to network and build supporting relationships.
