Search Tips

Search the NCAC website by typing what you are looking for in the space below and clicking on the "Search" button:

Powered by FreeFind

Looking for a particular CCQA item?

Refine your search by including the system's acronym in your text. Listed below are the acronyms for each CCQA system:

  • FDCQA (Family Day Care Quality Assurance for family day care schemes)
  • OSHCQA (Outside School Hours Care Quality Assurance for outside school hours care services)
  • QIAS (Quality Improvement and Accreditation System for long day care centres)

The search facility is not case-sensitive, ie. the search facility does not recognise upper or lower case so this will not affect your search results.

To search for an exact phrase, type the phrase within double quote marks. For example, to search for the QIAS Handbook you would type, "QIAS Handbook".

Having trouble finding something?

To improve your search results try:

  • broadening your search by using more general words
  • checking your spelling
  • including the CCQA system's acronym in your search (if you are looking for something relating to a particular CCQA system)
  • using the Advanced Search. Here you can include more detailed information about what you are looking for (you can even do a 'sounds like' search if you are unsure of your spelling)

If you are looking for a particular document, the search results may not display the actual document, but rather, the webpages that contain links to that document.

Pressing "Enter" or "Return" on your keyboard has the same function as clicking the "Search" button on your computer screen.
